One of the wonders of the Summer Season in Hyannis has been the addition of live entertainment and theater on Aselton Park in Hyannis.
Aselton Park, named after a Barnstable Police Officer killed in the line of duty, has been transformed into a beautiful and vibrant Park with performances all summer long. An interesting mix of locals and tourists join together bringing lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the festive atmosphere.
The wonderful volunteers and staff responsible for the creation and expansion of activities on Aselton Park should be recognized for a job well done.
Hyannis is alive and well. If you haven't experienced it lately, you should.
What do you think?

We enjoyed it!
The High Schools kids were great. They do such a wonderful job at BHS!
A wonderful series of events. We brought our grandchildren to every event this summer. It was mot enjoyable.
BB, our son was in the theater production. He really had a blast-
The Friday night concerts are great. I try not to miss them, wish they started later.
Whomever is doing the booking is doing a great job of showcasing the best bands working on Cape Cod
We would hope the Town could even do more next year.
BB, Did you hear that John Julius is the BlogBlaster?
No he isn't. Schwaab is!
BB- That is really cute. Schwaab wants us to think it was Julius.
Another great performance tonight, BB.
You're all wrong, its the great bandito.
Truly you guys should join the real world. Do these kids know that there are live people suffering in the world while their parents and town praise them for a high school play?
Get real.
It is absolutely amazing how mean spirited these hate bloggers are. To demean and trivialize hundreds of local kids who participate in community acitivities, whether it be local plays, or other healthy acitivities, instead of getting into trouble or heading down the wrong path says all we need to know about this gang. They obviously have been dealt a raw hand in life.
Sarge
LOSERS!
We just want the rose colored glasses to come off so these kids know the real world. Everything isn't great but you guys are so afraid yourselves to face the truth, you allow your children to live in fantasy land.
It's not wonderful when the education system is prejudice. The very existence of a charter school amongst "regular" schools proves the point. Ever since 1993 when George Bush I and the Press censored the Sandia Report on Education, the nation's schools have been going down the wrong road. Prejudice is also evident when some teachers have publicly invieghed against constitutional guarantees.
Hey Anon: Sounds like something a few sessions with a good counselor might help you on. Lighten up and enjoy life!
