There is an old adage in business that says to succeed, you first have to create a crisis, then serve your business up as the solution. It isn't used much because consumers can usually can see through it. Usually.
Sometimes political candidates are pretty good at using this ploy. Sometimes they aren't.
Precinct 3 Town Council candidate Eric Schwaab is the worst.
In what has to be the biggest case of selfish sensationalism and shameful scare tactics ever used in a local political race, Schwaab is creating a cancer scare, then offering him up as the solution. All to win a Barnstable Town Council seat.
Has he no shame? Schwaab is playing with the emotions and trauma of those who have either faced this horrid disease or are afraid of it. All to win seat on our Town Council?
Shameless. Shameful. That's Eric Schwaab. Their must be a special place in hell for those who would resort to such tactics.

Didn't Lopez post all of their salaries by name on his blog a couple of weeks ago?
They need to know that Schwaab, Julius and Lopez are all joined at the damn hip.
You people want some real problems move up here to Worcester. I grew up in Centerville and have been in Central Mass for 20 years now. For God's sake you are living in paradise and all you do is moan. Barnstable needs to be business friendly and attract year round jobs. There are like 4 bars left on Main Street. Wake up and smell the taffy!
The fire district people know very well about Lopez and his cult. Responding to them serves no purpose. He will not tell the truth even if we engage him in debate. The voters know what we stand for, how we do our job, and the type of people we are. The small minority these people belong to will never listen to the real truth and anyone who wants to understand what the real truth is either already knows, can ask any number of people who will tell them and point them to wher they can find the facts themselves, or is happy with the services they receive and is too busy in their lives to be concerned with Lopez's ongoing chicken little act.
Remember the running list of businesses cape cog had going to "boycott" - now the Julius dumpling gang wants these businessowners, employees, fellow residents they repeatedly slam to elect them to a seat to represent our town? Give me a break.

We need to conduct meaningful discussions on the elections over the next few weeks!
The town-wide races are just as important as Precinct 3, and people need to focus on the Charter Commission candidates as well as the School Committee.
We should compile a Toxic Candidate list....all KingCOG's supporters should be declared as harmful to your community's health and quarantined!
The council/charter race is on. We need to expose Schwaab and his clan as the no good liars they are.Come back & continue the good work.
The hate bloggers, especially Muffy, are caught in their own Catch 22…they developed a small core of Koolaid-swilling followers by creating venomous entertainment, but to keep this core happy, they must spew forth more venom each day. Unfortunately for them, the more hatred they spew, the less willing rational folks are to work with them.
Muffy now has to continue to feed the beast he has created…to be willing to work towards positive change would be seen as weakness by the anti-crowd, so he must continue the attacks. He has seen what happens to apostates to the KOG religion…think Jim Walsh. It appears his empty “we can do better” campaign died a lonely death because the KOGGERs need blood, so he had to revert to attack methods.
As for KingKOG, I am waiting each Thursday night for him to stand up during public comment and waive a list of 153 Communists that he has proof work in town hall.
Best of luck to those candidates who want to seek rational reforms, yet realize that it is possible to have political disagreements with persons without declaring them enemies of the state.
